We build the boring software UK trades deserve.
Sitespan is a UK-built field operations platform for property maintenance, inspection and surveying companies. We are deliberately narrow. We don't try to be a CRM, an accounting platform, or a generic project manager. We build the smallest set of tools that lets the office and the field stop arguing over the job card — and the smallest set of features that makes the inspection report better than anything you used to send out in Word.
Four principles, on the wall.
The job card is the unit of work.
Every feature has to make the job card more useful — to the operative on site, to the admin in the office, or both. If it doesn't, we don't ship it.
Mobile-first means mobile-first.
The field app is not a watered-down version of the admin one. It's optimised for vans, lofts, ladders and 4G dead zones. We prioritise it.
Boring beats flashy.
Software for the trade should be obvious, fast, and forgettable. We'd rather take a feature out than add a feature that isn't pulling its weight.
The report is your brand, not ours.
The report is what your customer remembers. It needs your logo, your colours, your wording — not a watermarked SaaS template. Standard branded reports are included on every plan, not a paid extra. Bespoke PDF design is available on Custom.
£100k a year, gone.
Our launch customer is an independent damp & mould inspection firm. Before Sitespan, every survey was clipboards on site, photographs piled into a Dropbox folder, and a half-day of typing in the office to put it all into a Word template. Same again for the next one. Three admin staff were spending most of their week on the report pipeline.
Within twelve months on Sitespan, the admin overhead that used to soak up an entire role's worth of time was engineered out of the business. Roughly £100,000 in wage costs, annualised. Reports that took hours now take minutes. The owner's daily workload dropped to around 90 minutes from a near-full day.
Our launch customer reports that the platform's branded PDF output now looks better than the Word templates they used to compose by hand. Admin time across the business has been engineered down by roughly an entire role's worth.
Where we've got to.
The clipboard problem
Founders spend a year shadowing damp surveyors and roofing contractors. Conclusion: the software they have is either a generic CRM bolted onto Excel, or paper.

Built by one person, for now — and that's the point.
Aston Haigh
I'm Aston Haigh, the founder of Sitespan. I built the first version of this platform with an independent damp & mould inspection firm in 2025 — embedded in their operation, watching every job, every report, every admin overhead. Sitespan is the system that came out of that work, productised so other property trades can use it too.
It's a deliberate solo operation for now. The software is opinionated because one person is making the decisions. Support replies come from me directly. When you book a demo, you're talking to the founder, not a sales team.
That doesn't last forever — we'll be hiring carefully through 2026 — but right now it's how I keep the product sharp and the customer relationships honest.
